Ski Arlberg

Three top regions,
one ski area

The Arlberg ski area is a network of three of the best ski regions in the Alps: St. Anton – St. Christoph – Stuben, Lech – Oberlech – Zürs and Warth – Schröcken together offer more than 300 kilometres of slopes. Add to that 200 kilometres of deep-snow descents. Comfort is provided by 88 modern cable cars and lifts, in operation from December to the end of April.

Stay right on the slopes

On the slopes in two minutes

Our hotel's location couldn't be better for winter fans: right next to the hotel, the Nassereinbahn cable car cabins do their rounds, whisking skiers comfortably up to the Gampen and straight into the heart of the ski area. That's ski-in, ski-out just the way we like it!

Ski Touring

Moonstruck

We wait especially eagerly for the full moon: that's when we pack our touring skis and set off towards Galzig: from St. Christoph, the route along the edge of the piste is easy to manage, and the view of St. Anton by night and the mountain slopes in moonlight is fantastic.

The Verwall Dressed in Winter

In total, St. Anton has around 80 kilometres of winter walking trails. The Verwall, however, is our declared favourite destination:  this is especially true in winter, when fresh snow has fallen. Then a walk through the Verwall feels like a stroll through a fairy-tale forest.

Cross-Country Skiing

Cross-country trails instead of ski slopes

Anyone who prefers the steady rhythm of the cross-country trail - whether classic or skating style - will find perfectly groomed cross-country tracks in St. Anton, in the Verwall, in St. Christoph or along the river through the snowy Stanzertal.

Ski Schools & Ski Instructors

It runs in the family

When we say that the love of skiing runs in the family, that's no exaggeration:  Markus's mum Gundi was the first state-certified ski instructor in St. Anton (1975), and Lisa's dad Herbert is a state-certified ski guide. The experts' recommendation for beginners? "Definitely Nasserein – and then up to the Gampen." Gundi's off-piste day, on the other hand, starts at Mattun, first in powder, then on spring corn snow later in the season. Herbert swears by the Schindlerkar.

Where can you go winter walking around St. Anton?

Are there cross-country ski trails nearby?

Yes, in the Stanzertal and the Verwall, right around St. Anton. There is also a high-altitude cross-country trail in St. Christoph.

Can you go ski touring on the Arlberg?

Yes. An easy way in is the tour from St. Christoph towards Galzig along the edge of the piste – especially beautiful by full moon. For ski tours off-piste, we always recommend a certified guide from the local ski schools.
