Climate Alliance Austria: Strong together – for St. Anton, for the Alpine Region

We are delighted to announce that Hotel Arlmont is now an official member of Climate Alliance Austria – the country's largest climate protection network!

Together with nine other tourism businesses in St. Anton am Arlberg, we have taken an important step towards sustainable business practices and committed ourselves to a future in which environmental awareness, quality of life and responsible hospitality go hand in hand.

Why we are taking this step

Climate change is also noticeable in the Alps – warmer temperatures, changing precipitation patterns and shorter winter periods are having a significant impact on our home region and Alpine tourism. As hosts, we bear responsibility – for our natural environment, our region, our employees and our guests. Joining the Climate Alliance is not a symbolic act, but a long-term commitment to continuously implement and develop climate-friendly measures. 

What does this mean for our hotel in concrete terms?

As a Climate Alliance business, we work together with experts from the network and implement a climate plan with specific goals and measures. These include:

• Energy efficiency and resource conservation in everyday hotel operations
• Promotion of sustainable mobility for guests and employees
• Conscious use of water and waste
• Strengthening biodiversity in outdoor areas
• More regional and climate-friendly products in the kitchen and bar
• Training and awareness-raising among our team and for our guests

These measures not only help to reduce our ecological footprint – they also improve the quality of life locally and make your stay with us even more conscious and valuable.

The initiative was implemented in collaboration with the St. Anton Tourism Association and KLAR! Arlberg Stanzertal, and has demonstrated the significant potential that lies in exchange and cooperation between regional partners. Workshops and networking enabled ideas to be shared and sustainable solutions to be developed – a genuine example of how climate protection can be successfully implemented at a local level.
